Yeah, don't buy until you need it, though sometimes really good deals come along in the way. Alviso is only worth waiting for depending on what you want from your notebook, IMO.
I read something a while back that reported the integrated video can handle World of Warcraft, though it wasn't an impressive performance. Design looks alright, I thought it looked i9200ish for a moment, hopefully they will match it...
Those three are the same laptop and its currently the best gaming laptop out there. Second best is the Dell Inspiron XPS. I guess you can try and wait to see if they'll offer the same video card to an Athlon 64 machine by then.
The upcoming Asus w3n is what I would consider a good all around laptop. It should weigh about 5 lbs, will have Pentium M, wide screen, and an ATI 9700 w/ 64mb of vram.
