I used dvdinfo-pro, it recognizes the drive but it doesn't recognize any media. What do you think?

Ok, this morning I watched a dvd on my laptop, played some games. I turned it off, turned it back on this evening, put in a dvd and the drive shows the disk as blank. I tried a cd, also blank, but the game still runs from the cd, but...

Ok so I tried a bunch of drivers and graphics options, turned v-sync always on etc... some drivers i.e. the new omega ones run with less artifects but they are still there and very annoying. Looks like i'll be waiting for tech support...

thanks for the info guys what about the 3.4 northwood does it have hyperthreading? is it worth getting the 8790 with the prescott or the northwood because of the screen size, 256 mg gpu, etc... over the 5690 w/ p4 3.4 with hyperthreading
