Not that the 8600 is a fantastic card, i have an 8600GT myself, When i was shopping, i compared the 8600 to no lower than a 7900 if that tells ya anything. Thankx for the replies. I have a better desktop, just need this XPS to handle some general light gaming, (DAOC bot pc primarily) So it will do the trick for now.
I have one more interesting follow up question... Could I take out that Prescott 3.4 out of my XPS and put it into a desktop machine? I have an Optiplex GX280 with a P4 3.2 Prescott that i want to possibly swap the CPU's on.
I have a Gen 1 xps with a 3.4 GHZ chip atm. My question is can that mobo support an upgrade to a faster chip, like a dual core E6600 or something like that. My other question is will it be able to handle the almost certain heat increase?
