I had a similar problem with the D800. only solution I came up with was buying Ultramon and setting profiles that I could switch between. Will be watching this thread in case anyone has a better solution.

Can always get a PCMCIA card reader. Not much else to use the PCMCIA slot for on a modern laptop. Sound and external SATA being the only other 2 that seemed interesting to me. Unfourtunately I couldn't find a PCMCIA Compact Flash...

There isn't one. That is how everybody's LCD displays. Well I think there was a thread that had information on making a custom inf file to change what displayed, but you don't need a driver.

Not sure what MCE extensions are but I just use Tony's X-Treme drives on my 9300 with MCE. Haven't seen any problems. You need a seperate DVD decoder, but other then that everything seemso work fine.

Did you install SP2 and the other patches off of Windows update? Maybe that would help.

Intel wireless. The 2200 doesn't work. I didn't play with it that much, but I couldn't find any info online about getting it to work.
