Maybe because they don't make either there own chipsets or wireless cards? Basically Centrino is just a way for Intel to get people to by the whole Pentium M, Mobile, Chipset, and Intel Wireless.

My 9100 with the Dell 1350 seems to work better then my work provided D800 with the intel wireless. At least with the older Netgear wireless router I have.

If you can afford it go with the on site as well. That way you don't ahve to mail the laptop somewhere to get it fixed if you need to use the warranty.

In XP SP2 you can use aadd/remove windows compenents to remove Outlook Express. LEast it says it removes it.

Try the Omega driver at omegadrivers.net for the video issues. I've had nothign but good luck with them.
