Need to make a slight correction on my behalf. It appears that only the 1.20 bios reduces the core and memory speed of the graphics card. Bios 1.19 appears to leave the default settings in place.

Ok results in. On bios 1.20 I got 1052 3dmark05 with a bios default core and memory. Switched back to 1.16 and now my core is up at 445 and memory 250. Ran 3dmark05 and what a surprise, now I get a 3dmark05 of 1342. Thanks...

My 2p's worth, but the low scores in 3DMark05 are probably down to the alienware bios. I believe 1.19 and 1.20 downgrade the core and memory speed on the ati9700 cards so they perform at 9600 rates. Apparently done coz alienware...
