I am having the EXACT same symptoms now. I don't know what to do as my warrenty just ran out and as a student I dont even have 500 bucks to my name.

Sign my ass up. I just registered here since my warrenty ran out, 4th time my 9880 has bricked, and this time, at 1 year 3 months, I have no more warrenty =(
