No problems here. Used both OS'es and switched a couple of times. No problems at all. I would go into your bios and set the defaults. Reboot. Rinse. Repeat. Then see what happens.

It would be an imaging nightmare to code a specific key to a drive... The only way I would think is they have it the same way as before or you have to enter your key like an oem

yes, they should interchange fine. They use the same memory controller.
