hehe, don't know what I did but I fixed it. Working perfect now!
So I got a Blu-ray drive from Dell. Took my comp apart and installed it. Now when I put a Disc in though, it only takes it half way. I have to like almost force it in to take in all the way... I am not sure if I didn't align it...
Now, what if I upgrade my processor to the i7-720QM... will I then be able to take advantage of the 1333Mhz memory? I am assuming the motherboard is the same in an i7 and i5 machine... correct me if I'm wrong...
Get the used one. There are a lot of issues with the Nvidia cards in the R1s. ATI are stable at the moment.
I would say ebay or the forums... maybe someone is parting their AW Lappy
I just read this on Intel's website that the memory type supported is: DDR3-800/1066 Link: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=47341 Does this mean that if I put in 1333 memory, it won't be fully used and basically wasted?
Try downloading the firmware from the dell.com website. Run the app and try it again. This may fix it. If it doesn't, its a bad drive.
Its just a matter of me being lazy and not wanting to install Win 7 pro. I don't think I'll use any of its features... lol
