I asked them to replace the same drive in my 9400 and I had one at the door in 3 to 4 days from my first email. I'm in Ireland. The original one was very noisy even after a firmware flash
Warm is when you can leave it on your lap. Hot is when you can't. Makes sense about the gfx fan.
We have a outlet on the Dell site which seems to be cancelled orders, or returns which are as new. Then theres a ebay one which seems to have returns that have minor scuffs or marks etc. Seems to be one of each for every country.
Why just the GFX when not gaming? Its only a week old I'd hope it doesn't need cleaning out yet?
I've seen other posts about that, but that must be quite loud. I'd prefer to run hot and quiet than cool and noisy. Within reason of course.

From my experience some screens have this problem worst than others. Pot luck which you get. Seems common on all TFT's not just Dell and not just laptops.
