I think it has to do with the power managment on the network adapter. Double click Ethernet Adpater and under Power Managment tab, make sure first box is unchecked. DEVICE MANAGER>NETWORK ADAPTERS>ETHERNET

Check the mesh over the fans for dust once a week. At least I do, since we just turned on the furnaces here in Chicago. Those fans sure do work. Is it me or does this laptop run very cool?

I HAD the same laptop and noticed that it says "supports" also. The P4 sticker didn't even have the "H" "T".

You should notice a difference since the aspire 1802 comes with a 4200rpm hdd. Dell had the 7k60 for $126 but ended last week. Keep me posted on any tweaks/mods you make.
