If I were you I would go for a Kick Ass notebook. You can get nice video cards in them and alienwares are upgradeable. They also are great to take to lan parties. you can take them anywhere!

I dont think they will ever get a 256 9700 I think they will be more concerned with getting all the faster video cards like the 9800xt and the x800 out.
