Do the VM thing, seriously. Get VMWare server or Microsoft virtual server and build your own virtual DOS machine. You'll never look back
I have a 6.1 and it's just as troublesome as the previous ones (it just doesn't die as quickly as the old ones.) Not sure about the 6.2's
