From the article, it sounds like the 7700's will be used for in house testing and not for on the road. I would think that they use those heavy duty ruggedized laptops for on field use.
If you have to get a MS product, Office all the way.
Only plus side about Works is that most retailers throw it in no charge when you purchase a PC. But even that's not a big plus.
I could've picked one up for $399.99 but it came with so much cr@p and no games!!!... so I passed. Besides, Gran Turismo mobile is slated for a 9/05 release which is what I really want.

My wish would've been if AW took the Compal CL56 design. The 15.4" WSXGA is nice but I wouldn't mind the 15.1" SXGA and a 6.25lbs weight... in fact, I'd prefer it.
