I use the Sennheiser HD280 Pro (under $100). Yea, you need to use the laptop's soundcard, which produces slight buzzing when nothing's playing. But the buzz is not noticeable when watching movies or playing games.
Thanks for the review Rustican. That heat issue really is a deal breaker, too bad. Can't have my wrist turning red trying to hit the WASD keys.
