I've lernt last night that my chip is the youngest so far - 3rd week of 2005. I've bought it about 3 months ago. So, I decided not to mess with it for now. Does anybody else have a chip made in 2005? Did you tryed the mod?

raelcun's chip was made at 35th week of 2004 Bdork's chip was made at 34th week of 2004 Anticitizen's chip was made at 27th week of 2004 I cannot find any chip info of these who wasn't lucky to compare dates.

I unredstand that ATI's 5.6 is better then Omega's 5.4, so you have to upgrade. Question is how Omega's 5.6 is compared to ATI's 5.6. We've got one negative opinion - but I think it's too negative - 10% difference in score is too much...

There is 5.1 digital output but it will work only with pre-encoded sources - DVD. It will not let you use surround speakers in games.
