This is may take into your question, if you are not experiencing any problem, don't bother with the drivers and non driver software. If no exclamation point present in the Device Manager then all the necessary drivers are loaded...
If you can find a good motherboard probably you can fix it yourself. As for component level, if you have a rework station maybe you can do it as well.
You have to be patient with Ebay sometimes. National Part Center is another source of Toshiba parts. If you can open the laptop, most likely you can solder back the DC In jack.
There's a DMI utility available in Toshiba website to correct that problem, try it...
