The driver needs to be digitally signed.
Also -- it seems as though the "quick fix" no longer works. Microsoft disabled the disabling of driver signing.
what it looks like to me, personally, because i have seen it before..
it appears taht you MAY have been a little over zealous on the AS application, and might have gotten some on the video board somewhere... my recommendation to you is...

are you using the new 3.xxxx series?
that seems to be the issue... if you roll back to a 2.0.0.0.105 everything works wonderfully...
that new skype application is TRASH... i've had issues, not only on my E1705, but also on my desktops...
