I have had this problem fresh off a clean install of XP. Put the latest quickset application on and it should fix things. make sure you uninstall the old one first.
I believe you cant get a new 1520 without bluetooth so I wouldn't be concerned. Go on the site and configure one. It doesn't even give you the option. However at the end when you look at system specs, there it is.

I understand the green light issue now. The use of "it" can be confusing. I still stand behind what I said because I assume you have tried the computer on AC power with the battery removed.
I think you are talking about the green light on the computer and not the power supply. With that said it sounds like the jack for the ac adaptor disconnected from the motherboard. Has the plug been pulled on an awkward angle recently?...
