What HPs have you seen so far because it is kinda shocking that they would not have they same res as the MBP. Also what do you think of 16"? Because I just configured a HP with similar-better specs for around $2k

I would think all of them would have the same quality. Laptop screens don't vary much in viewing quality.

I agree with the others for the same reasons mentioned above. Also since it has a larger battery it would be more portable. And screen res doesn't really matter unless you're gaming (correct me of I'm wrong).

I have yet to see a portable with the res you're looking for. Also The need for led backlit keyboard being a minor option is really limiting possible selections out there. Also I also have my doubts that a portable will have led backlit...
