You might be able to, I have been running server 2008 in vpc 2007 without issues. I have been unable to use server 2008 directly on the os, bluetooth and quickset do not work.

You will have to contact dell, its $25 dollars to buy the software. If you have it for Vista, they might send it to you for xp for free if you still have a warranty. Its not free software so its not kosher to download it.
