Psst, how much digging into the system do I have to do to get to the wifi card???? I really hope that is the problem cause I know for a fact this 7405 has less range than the other two.

Originally started out with a M6805, hinge cracked and got the M6810. It cracked and luckily somehow I got the 7405 after they weren't devo. What I have noticed is even at home I notice my signal will be only good in the living room...

I just got home with my swap of 6810 for the 7405gx. I just formatted and XP Pro is installed. Installed latest VIA 4 and 1 drivers and latest Omega drivers. I remember updating a CPU driver before on my first M6805. Is it needed.

My serial number has 46 as the 4th and 5th digit so looks like in a couple months I will get another one replaced with the newer model. Hopefully by then the 9700 or 9800 chipsets will be in em.

Yep it works. I am typing on the M6810 right now. Sweet, everything works. I had to reactivate my Norton products. Surprised XP didn't require reactivation. All drivers are present all works including games. Good Good. Good Job Best Buy.
