ripken04, if you have original boxes, it'll make parting out easier. buyers on ebay love original boxes. $1700? most people would go after the Dell Dimension XPS (especially when they have those 25% coupons). just a thought.

I'm thinking if you want to maximize your money, part the system out on ebay. you could sell the cpu, ram, speakers, vid card, mobo, ps they would fetch some $$$ case and burner can be had for cheap just my 2 cents.

It depends on your needs. If you want longer battery life, use for class multi purpose ... better get those Dell 6000 or 9200 wiht the UXGA screens or the new dell 9300 these sells for around $900-$1500 the AW are solid laptops...
