i leave mine plugged in all the time. There was one time when we had an electricity shortage in the building, and everything went off.. the laptop battery power must of kicked in right away, hence luckily saving my precious work..

i ve got a coupon from the purchase of Ati card for the lappy but where do i download the game and input the activivation code? i ve setup a steam account, but when i select browse game, half life 2, there isnt a downloadable choice.....

i am currently using one: V-Gear pocket TV usb 2.0. all u need is an antenna to connect. It also has a video/svideo and audio in port which u could plug in ur console. Another awesome feature is that it comes with a software call...

can someone tell me which firewire port we have in the area51-m.. i can see we have the port on the right hand side but no idea what it is (firewire 400/800?) also, whats the speed difference between our firewire port and the usb2.0

Are you running powerstrip? i have some issues with some games re: crashing, but now before i start the games, i exit out of powerstrip and games run fine

are you using the native resolution? Try changing the resolution back to its native state (eg. 16.1 is 1600x1200) Icons maybe abit small but very sharp, but you will get used to it.

if you've got powerstrip, you could adjust the gamma/brightness/contrast to the way you like it. If not, control panel>display>advanced>colour tab, to adjust those settings. BTW i am using the omega drivers and they work...
