Thank you very much for a useful utility!
May I dare ask if you have any idea of an easy to use program which can accurately monitor the temperature of the CPU on an Alienware Area 51-m, 766?!
Thank you again!
Since I had problems with the CPU overheating and 'blue screening' happening as a result of it, I had to look at the possibility of installing a temperature monitor. However, motherboard monitor asks for the kind of motherboard my Alienware Area 51m 766 has, and that's when I got stuck.
I would very much appreciate any advise you may have!
I thank you for your help!
If one pays all these money, I would expect the product to be worth it. However, I will admit, if you wish, that even though the product needs fine tunning, at least have the infrastructure in place to deal with the fine tunning of it. In terms of Alienware, so far all that is good is the advertising: the product has major short falls; as for the service... well, the word 'appauling' is an understatement.
Had problems with the DVD - R (it wouldn't write), then with the little switch under the screen, then with the CyberLink (useless). Now I sent it back to the depot and it has been over a month and they still haven't looked at it yet.
Who knows when I will get it back and if it will be fixed. The way I look at it is this: I paid $3000 for an alleged good machine. I spend hundreds of pounds on the phone with Tech Support fixing gremlins; now I will be without my laptop...
Anyone can solve my problem in any way?
My laptop has been with Alienware for a couple of simple faults for more than 16 WORKING DAYS. All along they had told me that all will be fine and it will be shipped between 12 and 14 days. That time has long passed and they have not even diagnosed it.
The trouble is that I have to leave the country in 3 days and I need the laptop.
ANYONE WHO CAN HELP?
I am looking for a telephone number for the CEO's...
I bought the laptop at the beginning of the year and have been on the phone with the support folks for at least 8 hours ever since (living overseas, this amounts to a lot of money wasted). Recently I had to ship the system to the USA and it has been with them for 7 working days. In the meantime, no one has been able to update me on the status of the laptop, despite countless telephone calls.
Did I say appauling? I am afraid that I have been conned by a bunch of...
