If it was for me I would also go with the 2.0 GHz instead of the 2.16 GHz processor but it's what he wants. I will have to check into the ram price at newegg but is it really less considering he's getting 1/3rd off + 12% off the system...
He said a decently configured M1710 but not nearly as specd out as the E1705 is $600-$700 more since there are no M1710 EPP coupons. Slower processor, less ram, smaller HD and the 256mb 7900, what's the point of getting a less powerful...

I know I've seen questions like this before but I'm asking for a friend who was going to order an M1710 but has changed his mind due to the cost. He e-mailed me this E1705 config this morning with all of the discounts he is entitled to....

My friend called me and is trying to put together an order for an M1710 laptop. He asked me the least expensive way to buy it, since he qualifies for EPP I configured one for him through the EPP store and believe it or not Dell way...
