i have relatively the same problem. I narrowed it down to be a bad hard drive
so i swap the t40 harddrive into my t22 and i ran chkdsk /r and i came up with this volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problem. so is my harddrive bad? I am reformatting the t40 harddrive right now hopefully i will get...
