The laptops in this house have "issues" My son's Compaq Presario 2700. won't charge. The charger itself is fine because we tested it. Can the problem with the 2700 be solved with a tiny screw driver? If so...how??

My latitude c400 won't go further than displaying the dell display and then an error message: UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME. What should I do? I tried going to settings to go back to the date I first had it but it went back to the error...
