had it apart, everything looked good and smelt normal, tested on the bench and nothing. put back together and etsted again, same thing. time for a new mobo i guess... if i can find one in the uk!

Exact same problem here, ive tried pressing around F10 etc but nothing happens. im going to pull the laptop to bits today and see whats what, ive got everything i need to resolder parts and clean circut boards etc. ill report back here...

can someone post a link to the actual SATA/RAID drivers they used, ive tried about 15 diff drivers and none have worked.

you have more chance of getting the 2003server drivers working than the xp drivers, since vista is based on 2003server. there are no drivers for the 378 for vista and apparently there never will be.
