With the age of these machines, I would recommend moving them over to Linux. Mint and Ubuntu would be my two choices. Mint is based on Ubuntu and is a bit cleaner and easy on the video card.
I believe it will take it. I will need to locate my old C640 in my stack of retired machines and report back. I believe I maxed it out many moons ago....
