Maybe the drive requires additional drivers from the hitachi web site. Also you coulld try a ghost restore or try the upgrade option instead of the clean install. Hope that helps!

Many different Ways to do it really. The easiest if your not planning to format is use Partition Magic but if your clean installing then you could also set them up during a fresh install by booting from the Windows disk.

Im referring to the sound enhancements and effects you can enable! As for the lightfx if you activate the lights and then close down quickset the problem almost goes away. I only have problems when quickset effects and music is playing...

It has more to do with quickset and lightfx. Basically the buffer is too small and it causes it to stutter and crackle! There is no 100% solution apart from not using lightfx or removing quickset completely!
