Finally the replacement for the 5690! I hope the mini slideshow LCD thingy is an option
I don't see an x800 coming to the "normal" (from 4-8 lbs, 15 or 15.4") lappies soon. However, I hear Nvidia is making some gfx boards for smaller laptops soon...
yeah, nearly the exact same design as my IBM 760L. I like how its easy to open and replace stuff.... just lift up the keyboard by pushing two tabs.

hmm.... what kind of battery life? I'm guessing around 2.5 hours. Even with those faults, I hear that the ECS has a good screen and looks good to boot.

The sager 5690 supposedly gets the fastest results in tests with the 9700. Unfortunately not many still sell it. (somewhere around 4000 [stock?] 3dmark03, but don't buy solely on benchmarks)
