Just an update for you guys. I figured out the problem. Stupid McAfee was messing alot of stuff up. I uninstalled it (i didnt use it anyway) and did a regedit to erase all the traces. Not only did that fix my HL2 : Deathmatch...

I have just the basic integrated sound card on my e1705. I dont beleive its the HD sound card or the SoundBlaster. When I go to the dell website to try to find drivers, all they have is the SoundBlaster and the HD soundcard drivers. ...
