heh Im glad you like it... The stuff you describe i've never done.. we'll i've captured dvd's I own in the past and split the audio from the video , resampled the sound then put them back together again. But i've never did it in the way...

Yes, consider the card you have..you dont want to stress the card...especially if its for games. I would go with the lowest that you think looks decent thats not to hard on the card. I'd probably do something like a 1440x900 thats right...
