No overclocking from what I understand on that article. But it's not THAT impressive. A similarly spec'ed 5890 (3.2 GHZ, M10Pro) scores over 10k without overclocking, so we're talking about a 15% to 20% performance boost for the M11 over...
Spare room, ocassional LAN parties, moving it around the house, coolness, etc. Given the upgoing laptop performance boosts... if you can afford the extra cash, I totally understand the booming in the desktop replacement sector sales.

I wouldn't even pay $50 for the extra 128mb VRAM on a M11. Trust me, it'll have virtually no benefit for gaming. Had it been a desktop ATI9800 or Ndivia 5950U, I'd definitely get the extra 128mb VRAM, but on a M11... nah no need.

If dont intend to move the Acer away from your desk other than an ocassional LAN party here and there, then it's a good buying decision, specially now with the Go5700. The price is really sweet for those specs. But be aware that...

Uses some desktop components (HD for example), but the GPU is the mobile version.
Well no, the M11 128 mb is said to be a 20 to 25% more powerful than the M10Pro 128mb. But the M11 256mb will STILL be only 20 to 25% more powerful. It's like driving a Porche (360 horsepower or in this case the M11 128) and a Porche...
