I agree with GNandGS, go for the refurb (you have nothing to loose). I wish the computer company's who think they are saving money by doing a "quick" repair would look at the numbers. This computer has been "looked"...
It would seem that the practice of shipping out defective computers, is still going on!!
Good for AMD. They must be doing something right! Competition helps everybody. Or has Intel done something to upset the "Intel only" computer manufacturers.
What gives? I thought that Dell was locked into Intel (Discounts, Rebates etc.).

I can feel your frustration! I am not sure why there is so much trouble with setting up a RAID system on the Alienware laptops? Good luck, sit down, drink a cold one (or two) and think good thoughts.
