Some find it hard, others easy. But it is definately tougher then a desktop. It only cost me 35$ more to get it assembled so it's not that big of a deal and I'm happy I went with that route. Although it might also a good idea to build it...

Building a laptop is a bit tougher then building a desktop. Unless you want to go throught all the trouble, I'd get it assembled. Good luck!
