My old ati MR 7500 32 MB ran CS maxed out, so it's not that much of an accomplishment. And 3.5 hours is kinda low..You should be getting around 5 hours with the 9 cell

The only difference between your setup and mine is that i have the 1.83 core duo. At what resolution are you running it? i'm running it at 1024x768

are you overclocking the x1400? i find that i can only play doom 3 on HIGH settings if i overclock

No it's not compatible

The ati x700 is better than the x1400

You can underclock the x1400 with powerstrip 3.63 (NOT 3.64, it doesnt work). And yes you'll be getting about 5 hours with brightness turned down a bit.

They took away the first gen of 7800 go for a reason. Maybe that reason happened to you, don't you think?

The times when you needed a Desktop as the main setup are long gone. I've been using a notebook as my main since 2004 and i'm never going to back to the Desktops.
