why dont more notebooks have compact flash readers built in? my digicam uses CF, but most notebook built in card readers seem to support every media type except CF. Any reason why compact flash is being shafted?

i know that hp and compaq are the same company, so i was wondering do they use different parts in the hp vs. compaq lines. the notebooks use the same chassis and offer the same options, so i was wondering is there a difference in quality...

I was interested in the inspiron 8600 notebook but I noticed that it does not have gigaethernet like most comparably priced laptops. I was just wondering how useful/necessary is the gigaethernet for a college student?

has anyone tried using the s/pdif digital output? thats one of the reasons i want to go with a sager

why doesn't the ax7 have 5.1 digital output like the gx7 . since i watch a lot of movies, it would have been nice.
