Simple answer guys. double click on the sound icon. set it so you see the advanced tab under the volume control. click on it. there's two boxes. 1 is enable spdif and the other is pc spk mute. That's it. It's also included in the manual....
The 9300 has lasted me with the 9 cell about 3+ hours with no worries on minimal brightness and with wireless on, so preferably with it off and low brightness it'll last even longer. So no worries, definitely get it.
