Almost all new joystick come with gameport -> USB pigtail adapters. I don't know if that would work for an older model, though... you still need the drivers for the joystick, and they have to work through USB.

I seriously doubt that the PC2700 RAM offered on pcw.fr actually runs that fast in the laptop. The motherboard chipset has to support that speed as well, and to my knowledge, the Clevo 88x/Sager 888x chipsets support up to PC2100...
