I was using the omega drivers, and all was good. Now that Maya updated to ver. 7, it won't start up, it just gives a fatal error at startup screen. I ended up using the current catalyst driver with mobile modder, and everything works...

I was running at 1024x768(LCD), with all turned up, and it ran OK. It runs much better at 1400x1050, with all turned down. Smooth as butta I think that valve may have improved the code lately because it has been running much better...
really,... are you using omega drivers, or standard ati catalyst? I get mad choppy when i have settings turned up. Maybe like 20fps, especially when there are lots of players on screen.

I have a CL56, and when I plug in the AC plug when the comp is off, the led flashes blue briefly. I think there must be some way to do this without soldering. Maybe some bios hack or a jumper switch??? Try it out and someone tell me...

I remember seeing a thread with this link. It had the manufacturers of each part of the cl56. I am looking into a better screen that is compatible with the compal cl56, with better vertical viewing angles.
