A 4870 is more powerful than a gtx 280m but not by too much plus nvidia has way better drivers especially tweaked onces. A good driver backing up the 280ms will outperform the 4870s for sure.

no no never! I have some left over pressed wood and plexiglass so when I do decide to dip in for an m15x, I can cut the new platform out to meet the fans of the laptop.
I know the specs lol. The bump up from a 720 to an 820 is a whopping $350 through dell on the m15x O_O. I think when buying with sager on the np8690 it is a $200 difference.
