Thanks!! My next project is to try to get those cover LEDs working by wiring the only color (blue) I want to a USB port or fan power adapter. Will post my results whenever I actually get to it :P
Well, maybe to some people heh but i looooove blue leds lol! Now the USB ports are 5V i believe, so would that work to power those cover LEDs? I mean i have the cover installed already so why not give it a shot? All i would have to do...
Well i did a bit of a conversion, and on the M1710 cover (i have an E1705) There are some cables that run to the LEDs. Now these cables are color coded, i am assuming it corresponds to the various colors of the LEDs, but I was wondering...

hey, sorry for not checking this thread much, but the leds are quite easy, just took a little duct tape and a ton of time trying various placements, it still didnt turn out too well but it is easy to do. just be careful when taking stuff...
That looks very cool! They are kinda hard to find though, I'll keep checking eBay unless you have a better place!
