Well I got the machine back from Sager and the flicker is gone. I actually also upgraded to the newer LCD so I cant vouch for the cable inverter fix by itself. So far so good.

Please send me a new one too! How did u get it?

Except i just sent it in with the harddrives. Live and Learn. I am gonna wipe everything put after i get it back anyway. Thanks for the tip!

There is a little toggle switch under the right hinge that if you jiggle it, turns the lcd on and off. Per tech support I juggled it and the lcd is fine now. It is quite small, right to the right of the power button.
