This is what I have done. Buy an USB external hard drive enclosure. Size 2.5.. Connect the hard drive with the data you want, and look for your files. You should see the files. PM for more details if you need it.
They should all be the same. They all have amd processors and same bottom bezels. Cost 200-250 price range.
You can get the replacement lcd from ebay. Look here for the manual and download it. Once you open it you can see the lcd model number then go from there. pm if you need help

No. Most if not all of the video chipsets on HP/Cpq systemboard are onboard/all in one.
That laptop has a separate/detachable video card that tends to go bad. I would start there first. I've repaired numerous of these laptops. PM me if you have any other questions.
It will work but there will not be a great difference in speed. Yes it is faster ,but its not worth the upgrade (IMO). Consider the work to make that happen. You have to tear down the laptop then install the proc. and then rebuild it....
I had the same problem when I went from Vista back to XP The sound drivers on Hp's site do not work for XP. Lucky for me and you I had the recovery disk from and XP ver. Drivers in there worked for me. PM me and I'll find a way to get...
I've repaired many of those LS laptops. There's a chip on board that frys all the time. Give me the model number and I can tell you exactly what sys. board you need.
