you can buy a HD enclosure and put the HD in that, then boot it like a regular external HD. just make sure your buying an enclosure for a laptop HD and not a regular sized one.
First off, lawl at the 256 GB of ram. Second, what are the other specs of the computer? if a computer was made when 256 MB was relevant, it might be better to just buy a new computer.
