Yep. I don't think I'll use it again after I recover from this.

The last try failed again. I am beginning to think the BIOS itself is corrupt. Don't know how - I haven't reflashed it or done anything to it. I guess its time to send it in and whine to HP.

Well technically I would think it possible. Same socket S1, same power dissipation at 31Ws. At approx. $265 for the chip, plus the installation headache or cost, I am not sure its worth it for 1.6 GHz to 2.0Ghz. IMHO -
