same problem here. i tried the 6.4s and it actually worked for a good few hours - i was modeling in maya. it was not until a 2nd restart (after the initial restart required by finishing the installation) that it completely crapped...

this happened to me too, only difference is i tried to install mobile catalyst 6.4...dunno what the problem is

even a minute apart would be better - every 5-10secs...i start anticipating it coming on, then off...its just rather annoying, not so much in a noisier environment, but when its quiet around, you really notice it.

I just got a 3790 and the fan is waaay overactive. It turns on every other 5 seconds. its annoying cuz its on, off, on, off. I wouldn't even mind if it was just consistently on. And the laptop isn't even hot to the touch. Anyone...

if the battery life to power consumption levels are linear, then 27w/19w = 1.421; (1:51 = 1.85hrs) x 1.421 = 2.62885hrs = approx 2:38 for battery life while doing light tasks. two and a half hours isn't bad, but not too good...

how does the 12cell battery differ from the 6cell battery, besides the doubled(?) battery life? is it heavier, bigger (sticks out from laptop?), and just how much more performance can we expect?
