I believe with intensive gaming, on the CL56, its about 2.5 hours or 2 hours. On battery life alone. With just regular computing tasks (surfing/chatting/word etc) up to 4+ hours. No idea about the 7200... probably not that much.

Yes, many laptops do eat batteries alive. Pentium-M solves that. It doesn't sound like you'll have a huge problem with that though? AMD won't be terrible or something. With regular tasks, a few hours. With gaming/dvds... a lot alot...
